Hip, hip, hooray! The state of California has recognized all 10 CUSD schools for their outstanding PBIS implementation for the 2022-2023 school year. What is PBIS? Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is a framework that supports students' behavioral, academic, social, emotional, and mental health. It's all about creating positive, predictable, and safe learning environments where everyone thrives. We're on the map with nine schools at the PLATINUM level and Claremont High School claiming the GOLD! A big shoutout to our dedicated staff members who consistently go above and beyond for our students.

Rolling Out the Red Carpet for Our New Teachers!
Every year, CUSD warmly welcomes its newest educators in grand style. Our Human Resources Department rolls out a red carpet for the new teachers, ensuring they start their journey with a star-studded welcome as enthusiastic district staff members greet them.
While iPads are distributed to them, our dedicated Technology Teachers on Special Assignment (TOSAs) step in to guide them on effectively using these iPads with their students. But it's not just about the tech; every department in our district plays a part in making the first few days memorable, informational, and welcoming.
Our New Teacher Orientation is a blend of tools, training, bonding, and sharing, all geared up to kickstart an exciting academic year. And what better way to introduce them to Claremont than a fun-filled bus tour? On the second day of New Teacher Orientation, Assistant Superintendent Kevin Ward leads the group on a tour of Claremont. Staff members and students at each campus come out with cheers, warm welcomes, and a touch of Hollywood flair; our new teachers are all set to inspire!
