We are excited to share important information about the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (IB MYP) for students entering 8th grade next school year. Starting February 13th, all 7th-grade students will receive presentations in their classrooms about the MYP program and the opportunity to participate in 8th grade. Whether your student is currently enrolled in the program or interested in transitioning into the program for their 8th-grade year, this presentation will provide essential details about how the MYP continues to develop and the expectations for the final year of the program at El Roble.
One of the key components of the 8th-grade MYP experience is the MYP 8th Grade Community Service Project. This project is a significant part of the program, allowing students to explore their interests, engage with their community, and develop meaningful service-learning experiences. The classroom presentations will explain the expectations, timeline, and process for this project, ensuring students understand their role and responsibilities.
