MYP Personal Project

The IB MYP personal project is the culminating project of the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP). It is an opportunity for all 10th grade students to showcase the skills they have developed throughout the Middle Years Programme by independently working on a project of their own choosing. There is no limit to the types of projects that students can choose to do: fitness goal, service projects, writing a book, artistic endeavors, and design & construction projects.
Types of MYP Personal Projects: Learn & Do, Learn & Create, Learn & Serve
The MYP Personal Project allows students to engage in independent inquiry, developing a project that aligns with their interests and personal goals. Students can approach their projects in different ways, typically falling into three main categories:
Learn & Do Project
Learn & Create Project
Learn & Serve Project
Each approach emphasizes learning, skill development, and personal engagement in a unique way.
Choosing the Right Approach
Students should choose a project type based on their interests, goals, and skills they want to develop. Whether they learn and do, learn and create, or learn and serve, the MYP Personal Project provides a meaningful opportunity for self-directed growth and exploration.
