New Panelists annoucement!

Claremont Unified School District is excited to announce the addition of two new panelists to the Empowering CUSD Students: Women in Leadership event, taking place on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. at the Don F. Fruechte Theatre for the Performing Arts at Claremont High School. These dynamic leaders bring a wealth of experience, passion, and commitment to empowering others, and we are thrilled to have them share their journeys with our students, parents, and community members.

Meet the New Panelists:

Dunia Elvir | News Anchor | Noticiero Telemundo 52/KVEA

Dunia Elvir is an award-winning news anchor for Telemundo 52's weekday evening newscasts. With over 20 years of experience in journalism, Dunia has earned multiple prestigious awards, including several Los Angeles Area Emmys and a GLAAD Media Award. As one of the leading voices in Spanish-language media, Dunia has interviewed world leaders and covered pivotal moments in U.S. and Latin American history. She is also committed to mentoring young journalists, advocating for underserved communities, and volunteering for organizations such as InsideOUT Writers and the March of Dimes.

Darlene Berg | Personal Trainer | Owner of Endless Fitness in Claremont

A passionate advocate for health and wellness, Darlene Berg owns Endless Fitness, where she works with clients of all ages and abilities. With over two decades of experience in the fitness industry, Darlene promotes a holistic approach to wellness that includes both physical fitness and emotional well-being. In addition to her work in fitness, Darlene is deeply involved in the Claremont community, organizing fundraising events for causes like the Alzheimer's Association and supporting students through her volunteer work in local schools.
