About This Course
This course is designed to prepare the student for an entry-level position as a pharmacy technician. The pharmacy technician program will address basic pharmacology, pharmacy calculations, deciphering and filling medication orders, reconstitution of drugs, medical terminology, basic anatomy and physiology, and pharmacy operations among other critical topics. Upon completion of the program, students will be able to receive a pharmacy technician license from the California board of pharmacy. Hybrid program: students are required to complete 20 hours a week of online and self-study.

Classroom assignments completed Monday- Friday on Online Platform

In addition to passing the pre-registration assessment, potential students must pass a clean background check and have sealed official High School Diploma transcripts.
COVID vaccinated or acceptable exemption documentation (clinical requirement)
Class requirements: 12-20 hours of online assignments in preparation for classroom direct instruction one day per week.
200 hours of externship at a pharmacy required.
